Quick Pickles (Dry Method)

(Малосольные огурчики сухой посол, Malosol’nye ogurchiki sukhoy posol)

Ingredients:

Small cucumbers

Kosher salt

Fresh dill

Garlic cloves

This is an easy and super-fast way to make pickles.


Rinse the cucumbers and dry a little right in the colander.
Trim both ends on each cucumber.

Place the cucumbers into a plastic container.
You’ll need one garlic clove for each 20 cucumbers. Slice the garlic cloves in half.

Chop the dill coarsely and add to the container with the cucumbers and garlic.

Add the salt; you’ll need approximately 1 tablespoon of the salt for each 5 cucumbers.

Close tightly with a lid and shake well so that everything mixes together.

If you need your pickles to be ready even faster, leave at room temperature for 1 hour.


Another option is to place the container in the fridge; the process will take a bit longer, and your pickles will be ready in a few hours.
